Idea #2 : Free MHM Baskets on Campus
Imagine walking into a restroom on campus and seeing a basket with a variety of supplies for menstrual hygiene management (MHM)! Our team loves the idea of placing baskets with free tampons (regular, super, super +), pads, liners, etc. in bathrooms on NMU's campus. Attached to each item would be a strip of paper with a statistic or fact regarding MHM in Kenya. The purpose of this idea would be to spread awareness of our issue to elicit a community response.
Idea #3 : Having our own Menstrual Hygiene day at NMU
NMU could put together an education series where speakers from a variety of fields would be invited to speak on the importance of menstrual hygiene, basic menstruation education, and what happen girls don't get the supplies they need. NMU could partner with an organization, like Days for Girls or AFRIPADS, and volunteer to make reusable pads for girls in Kenya and beyond.
